OpenDocument export format
OpenOffice uses the widely spread ISO certified open source format "OpenDocument". In a future version we plan to have to ability to export reports directly into it.

… so that the designer could be used by Silverlight or embedded into any .NET application.

Enable XML as input
In addition to JDBC and API input, it would be nice to be able to use XML data as input for reports.

Statistics module for the Remote Interface
A statistics module could help administrators to find bottlenecks in their server/servlet setup. It could offer information on how often certain reports have been executed, how long it took to render them and a lot of other useful things.

We are planning on adding a statistics module by the next major version. We’d love your ideas and feedback on what type of statistics you’d like to see for your report server.

Add interactive charting.
"Dashboards" have become extremely popular in the past few years. From a technical standpoint this largely consists of charting with a more interactive nature. Hovering over a bar on a bar chart brings up the value of that bar. Clicking on it lets you get more information on whatever is related to that specific part of the graph. It may include some navigation options inside the graph itself, adding elements, zooming in, etc.
Crystal clear has relatively simple link based navigation. This is starting to look clunky compared to more interactive and intuitive navigation that's becoming more standard (largely web… more

Allow Sharing of Adhoc Reports Between Users
Adhoc reports are saved as settings rather than full report files and are not named in a userfriendly way nor are they shareable between users. Being able to have shared adhoc reports would be useful.

Have "beans" exporting text
It would be great to have new types of beans that can render text instead of images.

Show drop-down-lists for filtering in Adhoc reports
Some columns are simply ID fields in a table. When there is a second table joined on that ID, have the GUI offer a drop-down-list or combobox for choosing what to filter by. Users do not always know the values of these ID fields and giving them a userfriendly choice would make adhoc reporting much more useable.

Auto Join Tables in Adhoc Reporting
Use defined database relationships/constraints to automatically join tables where appropriate or consider allowing auto joins based on configurable rules (if a table has CourseID and the Courses table is available then join). While something like this may not be simple to implement, any way to avoid users needing to understand database details yet being able to use adhoc reporting is useful. The data views do not work well for this as you cannot have more than one in the report and not all tables can be pre-joined/defined in the data views.

Unique Column Variables in Crosstab
I am not too sure if this is possible, but does not appear to be. I want to add another variable to a crosstab report column that does not interact with the variable list in sequential order above it. This variable would be independent of any previously listed variable, and only interact with the column variables listed.

Oracle bind variable peeking feature
Hello,
We ever commit a question like this:
Does i-net support Oracle bind variable peeking feature. And get your answer:
It sounds that it is not supported. My understand is that the parameters of a PreparedStatement are bind variables. So do you have an plan to support Oracle bind variable peeking feature in future release?
